Healthcare Assistant (Ward 8)

Up to 37.5 hours per week (Permanent)

We require motivated healthcare assistants to work on Ward 8. Ward 8 is a 30 bedded surgical ward, specialising in Urology and Gynaecology.

The successful candidates will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team demonstrating a range of nursing skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe, caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect under appropriate supervision of the registered nurses.

We will require the successful candidate to work days, nights and weekends on a rotational basis.

The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit. There is also an Institute of Learning, Research and Innovation on site, embracing postgraduate medical education, undergraduate teaching centre, nurse training school, the school of radiography and library facilities.
