Specialist Sports hold the adidas AG license to control 12 product categories in the UK & Ireland as well as several other territories around the world. The Specialist Sports category portfolio includes Hockey, Cricket, Tennis, Track & Field, Rugby, Olympic Sports and Teamwear featuring a range of products used by many of the world’s best athletes and grassroots enthusiasts. Specialist Sports are custodians of adidas brand health in these categories, maintaining Sports Marketing contracts with relevant Governing Bodies, leading clubs and players.

LOGISTICS / FULFILLMENT / DISTRIBUTION:

With defined territory distribution responsibilities and over 400 domestic and export customers, Specialist Sports pride themselves on offering strong stock and service levels to facilitate high service levels with quick reaction to daily demand and precise handling of forward orders, utilising multiple leading couriers to ensure on time in full delivery. Specialist Sports operate a fully integrated accounting and stock control system through which an average of 7000 outbound units are processed every week with all items barcode scanned for fulfilment and stock control accuracy.

To ensure a continual improvement of service levels and ensure increased demand continues to be met, Specialist Sports are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join an existing team responsible for handling inbound stock deliveries, sales order manipulation and onward distribution to customers.

ROLE:

The successful candidate will be expected to join an experienced and effective team to deliver on day-to-day and seasonal company objectives enhancing customer service and satisfaction levels. The role will demand:

Team participation

Working as part of an existing team of experienced warehouse personnel, pulling together to get results

Tackling daily tasks with accuracy, energy and a flexible approach with willingness to take on tasks according to seasonal demand and priorities

Facilities

Assisting with maintenance of the warehouse facility and environment to a level befitting a distributor of market leading performance sporting goods

Stock

Efficient handling and processing of stock deliveries as required with efficient division and storage to assigned locations

Systems

Aptitude for IT stock control systems including hand-held scanners which are vital for efficient and accurate stock control and outbound order tracking

Distribution

Identification of the correct courier/service for specific domestic or international destinations to ensure leading service and customer satisfaction levels while remaining conscious of shipping costs

Candidates will ideally hold some relevant experience and have an enthusiastic professional approach and personal drive to enhance Specialist Sports’ position as an effective route to market for adidas performance sports categories.

PACKAGE:

Successful candidates will benefit from competitive remuneration based on experience plus the opportunity for bonus based on company results.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £21,000.00 per year
