Role Overview:

We’ve created this role in our Group IT team to increase agility, flexibility, and productivity within the digital workplace. In this role, you will continue to build out foundational services while defining the technology strategy for how we want to evolve our digital workplace and employee IT experience.

You will work on a coordinated and employee-centric approach with senior leaders across IT, Corporate Functions (security, HR, legal etc.) and the business to understand how Workplace technology can better support current ways of working and be used to unlock further benefits in productivity, automation and collaboration while maintaining a robust security position.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:

Operational Support & Optimisation:

  • Define and implement well-structured operational services utilising internal and external resource provision.
  • Enable the seamless communication and collaboration of IT systems and services globally for multiple user types and preferences.
  • Ensure that security considerations and best practice are embedded in the delivery of day-to-day and future services.
  • Work with relevant vendors to manage underlying commercial agreements for services and understand (where possible influence) the road map for future services.
  • Engage with the business in relation to service issues in a constructive manner, being aware of the impact of service degradation on business operation.
  • Ensure that the IT services delivered are aligned to business needs and consider the business impact of changes and outages (planned and unplanned).
  • Support integrations & acquisitions regarding onboarding/supporting users as they migrate to Group standard solutions.

Business Adoption & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop relationships with key business stakeholders to understand how the technologies used in the Digital Workplace could be implemented and leveraged to drive business value.
  • Define and manage communication & educational campaigns to support business adoption.

Strategy

  • Ensure that the design for new solutions, or revisions to existing, meet current and future business needs; this includes utilising technical expertise from across IT and third-party suppliers to ensure that technical solutions are designed, documented, secured and implemented appropriately.
  • Understand the wider functionality of solutions already in place and how the business can expand their use into areas including automation, knowledge, planning and analytics.
  • Understand changes in the internal and wider external ecosystem from both a business and Digital Workplace perspective to understand opportunities for realising further benefits from adoption of new technologies & services.
  • Manage the underlying Lifecyle of the relevant products from a planning, budgeting, and change management perspective.
  • Ensure the development of a dedicated Digital Workplace team that has the right capabilities.

Your previous experience is likely to include:

Managing the operational delivery of critical IT services to a global user-base, managing commercial agreements, in particular Microsoft, and specifically supporting business change/adoption of Microsoft 365 to a global and technically diverse matrix organisation.

You will have experience managing an end user environment that includes device management and strategy, and of physical collaboration planning and technology including meeting room equipment etc.

To be successful in this role you will:

Love working as part of a team and be comfortable managing competing priorities. You are a strong influencer of strategic IT agendas across organisations. You can work with finance processes, maturity development and understand the value of an evidence-based approach.
