Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking to appoint an exceptional cyber security professional to join IT Services. The post holder will play a pivotal role in helping the University in its cyber defence efforts, protecting its staff and data. We would like to hear from highly competent candidates who have achievements in cyber security and who are keen to progress their skills in a university setting.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Strong up-to-date cyber security skillset: SIEM etc.
- Excellent cyber risk and vulnerability management skills i.e., GRC.
- Strong Scripting Skills.
- Good knowledge in controls and frameworks.
- Solid Sense of Logic.
- Good incident response skills.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Excellent orientation to details.
- Excellent technical skills in the latest cybersecurity technologies.
- Strong cloud Security Knowledge.
- High ethical standards to avoid internal cybersecurity risks.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for delivering a great service and good customer service.
- High level of prioritisation and organisation to handle a high volume of work and priorities effectively.
- Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills (written and presentation).
- Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised.
