The Paramedic Education Team within St George’s University medical school is seeking a Simulation Centre Co-ordinator with technical skills to support the delivery of low, medium, and high-definition simulation and of supporting the day-to-day management of the delivery of skills training and simulation You will join a dynamic, forward-thinking team with a well-established reputation for high quality education. This post will focus on supporting the delivery of simulation to students undertaking both pre-registration (UCAS entry) 3-year paramedic BSc programmes, and post-registration multi-professional education programmes. The Co-ordinator will contribute to the provision of the delivery of high-quality teaching, skills delivery, and simulation, in a paramedic simulation suite based within a Medical University. You will be an active member of a dynamic teaching team, and will collaborate with managerial, lecture, and simulation staff, to ensure that the simulation centre is appropriately resourced, equipment maintained, and supporting the management of the day-to-day smooth running of the centre. All staff within the paramedic team will have a role that involves self-development and the development of others, curriculum development, management, administration, student support and welfare.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge clinical and teaching technology within a dedicated Paramedic Simulation Centre, including two replica ambulances and an immersive suite. This position requires pioneering, enthusiastic and innovative approaches to clinical education, supporting the delivery of engaging, high quality, contemporary education to future paramedics by ensuring the appropriate maintenance, resourcing, and organisation of the simulation centre.
The Person
Please refer to the person specification for the requirements of the role. Ideally, you will have experience of working within the clinical environment and/or clinical simulation. Applications from those with experience of managing simulation centres within an educational environment would be particularly welcome. You will be organised and able to work autonomously, as well as being a team worker and excellent communicator. You will possess excellent computer skills, with experience of managing spreadsheets and timetables and, ideally, of stocktaking and managing stores and equipment. You will be organised, adaptable and able to support the ongoing maintenance of simulation equipment, as detailed by the manufacturer.

The Centre for Allied Health is located alongside St George’s hospital in Tooting and integrated across the higher education and health sectors. The Centre includes a variety of disciplines, including paramedic science, diagnostic radiography, radiotherapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy, as well as having links to medicine at St George’s.
