Position Overview & Specifications

Are you looking for a role where you can explore new ways of working with digital technologies? Where you can work alongside an award-winning team of experts who are driving digital change across Stantec and our clients? If so, then our Senior GIS Analyst opportunity could be just for you.

This opportunity could be based from either our Brighton, Exeter, Edinburgh, Glasgow, High Wycombe, Leeds, Redditch or Newcastle offices, with hybrid working allowing for a combination in-office and home working.

As a Senior GIS Analyst you would work within Stantec’s Digital division. You will work alongside an award-winning team of geospatial experts driving digital change across Stantec and our clients. You’d be working in a customer and user-focused team, pushing new ways of working across digital, whilst incorporating technology and data into all our services and solutions.

In the role of Senior GIS Analyst you will take the lead on delivery of innovative solutions for both our internal teams and external clients operating in sectors including water, wastewater, energy, transportation and environmental management.

You will drive insights from big data to enable proactive management of assets and more informed investment planning. In turn benefiting communities by utilising digital technology to help our clients to meet the challenges that they face.

About you

To be successful in this role you will most likely be an experienced GIS Analyst, Geospatial Data Engineer/Analyst or similar; with good knowledge of geospatial concepts and data processing techniques.

You will be knowledgeable around software development techniques and best practice and be able to demonstrate an innovate and inquisitive approach to your work.

As a Senior Analyst you will provide technical leadership on our projects, and you should have experience of providing technical coaching or mentoring. Due to the nature of this role then any prior experience of sectors including Water, Energy, the Environment, or Infrastructure would be beneficial.
