We are currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forward working in a Sarbanes Oxley controlled environment. The role includes but is not limited to:

Duties

• Responsible for Financial Accountant and Accounts Assistant.
• Responsible for all Intercompany accounting across Leicester based entities
• Responsible for assisting in the month end close accounting, with specific responsibility for STERIS Solutions Irish branch accounting.
• Produce Intercompany Cashflow
• Produce Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Ensure supporting documentation fulfils audit scrutiny and SOX, accounting standards. Follow up and take corrective action on ‘unidentified’, ‘timing’ or ‘requires adjusting’ differences within Policy guidelines.
• Responsible for deferred revenue accounting
• Respond to GL account queries from Business Analysts.
• Complete VAT returns for Albert Browne Group
• Complete VAT returns for STERIS Solutions Irish Branch
• Complete VAT returns for STERIS Corporation
• Produce Annual PSA and P11d reports

• Assist with internal and external audits, assist with production of ETB and Statutory Accounts Disclosures and assist is the completion of Tax Packages
• Create analytical tools, reports from Khalix and Cognos to assist with accounting reviews or presentation of results.
• Produce annual capital budgets for Albert Browne Ltd
• Product monthly capital forecasts for Albert Browne Ltd
• Assist with development and review of appropriate technology/software to improve process or functionality of current systems.
• Work effectively with Teams within the Financial Accounting Function based in Leicester and Derby including General Ledger Finance Team, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Involvement with ad-hoc projects working with Business Analysts where required.
• Be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) to ensure that the agreed health and safety training shall be mandatory for all members of staff.
• Ensure compliance with SOX principles and procedures within the purchasing function

Education Degree

Required Experience

• Fully qualified ACCA, ACMA, ACA or CIMA.
• Previous experience in a similar role and corporate environment.
• Advanced Level competency in software packages, to include Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications.
• Advanced ability to present detailed financial data or performance results comprehensively to Senior Management.
• Advance report writing ability including graphics and detailed analysis.
• Proficient report writer in Khalix, Cognos.
