Shop Assistant

A bit of background on StudioPips, I have been selling second hand and vintage clothing for quite some time now, with expertise in sourcing specific items for buyers. I expanded into sustainable home, living and accessory items after struggling to find an online store where I could shop sustainably and support small businesses, a store where every single product is sustainable.

The idea behind StudioPips is that you can shop array of amazing products created by small, sustainable brands. Small brands which have been chosen by myself based on their sustainability and production ethos so you can buy with ease without worrying about green washing. I love building relationships with our brands and learning about their passion for the products they create.

We have Brands who use solar powered textile printers and others who’s jewellery is made by full time mummy’s whilst their babies are sleeping. Real products made by real people paid with a fair wage.

We opened our first bricks and mortar store in 2022, for which the sales assistant role is required. Based on site at Twinlakes park

We are looking for an enthusiastic sales assistant to run our shop for three days a week mon-fri during Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire’s February half term, Easter half term, and for the summer holidays. Main duties will include: Opening and closing the shop. Greeting and conversing with customers. Operating sales through the till. Maintaining the shop floor, general tidiness, organising etc. We are looking for someone who is super approachable and personable. Somebody who is keen on sustainable living and is passionate about small brands. We would love an assistant who is keen to learn about the brands we have in store and promote these to our customers. It's the personal approach that sets small businesses apart from big brands. This makes shopping at an independent business a much more personal experience. Since small businesses rely more on a good reputation and word of mouth.

Required: Three days a week during school holidays.
