Casework Support Officer

The post holder will be part of a busy team that deals with the payment of Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP’s) and the Delivery of Local Welfare Provision (LWP) in the form of Crisis Support and Community Care Support.

The role will be to provide support to the Caseworkers in the decision making of DHP’s and supporting the delivery of LWP. Both DHP and LWP will involve communication with customers, internal and external providers and working to targets and deadlines to achieve delivery of the service.

The post will also include the collection of management Information data in relation to the service.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
