Assistant Laboratory Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated lab tech who is looking to join an active and fast Manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy working environment, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working as part of team.

*Experience is not required, full training provided*

Duties and Responsibilities:

· To provide accurate weighing and mixing of components following standard procedures

· To keep a Safe working practices and follow Health and Safety polices and Quality

· Play an integral part in ensuring that hygiene standards are adhered to at all times and oversee shift clean downs

· Meticulous attention to detail and record keeping

· Quantitative chemical analysis of finished product

· Ensure daily production records are completed correctly.

· Daily maintenance of laboratory instruments

· Carry out testing on samples from production

· Accurate recording of results.

· Quality Control checks on finished barrel.

· Picking and consuming the finished barrel using Dexterity

· Provide support across the facility on regular basis as required.

· Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

· Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

· Previous experience is highly desirable, but not essential

Physical Requirements:

· Lifting the flavour containers/ barrels.

· Changing IBC’s

· Bring the flavour stock for daily/weekly mixing into the lab.

· Bring chemicals into the lab.

Cleaning the laboratory every day at the end of each shift.

* Salary will increase to £23,650.00 after successfully passing six month probation *

* Working hours 06:30 - 14:30 *

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
