Job Introduction

Due to funding, we can offer this position as either a full time, 6-month post or a longer, part time opportunity (with contract length depending on hours worked each week). The full time starting salary is £41,127 per annum for working 36 hours per week.

We are currently recruiting an EDI Consultant to join our Employee Experience Team on a fixed term contract/secondment.

The successful candidate will report to the Wellbeing and Employee Experience Lead and work with EDI Consultants in the team, along with the Head of EDI and EDI Programme Manager, to deliver specific projects and outcomes identified through work within the People Strategy delivery plan*, which is core to SCC becoming a truly inclusive organisation.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and the impact this has on individuals and the wider organisation. The role will require you to confidently work with staff at all levels and across the organisation in relation to EDI activity, take an evidence-based approach, and have excellent communications skills, high levels of emotional intelligence, and political awareness.
