The starting salary for this position is £29,844 per annum per annum based on a 36 hour working week.
Your contracted work base will be the Merrow Depot Complex but there will be the opportunity to work from one of the more local offices as well as remotely to aid with your efficiency in this role.
About Us
The Highways and Transport service is responsible for ensuring the effective management, maintenance and improvement of the highway network. Parking enforcement is critical to road safety, keeping traffic moving and the operation of the local economy by maintaining access to local businesses and services.
About the role
As an Enforcement Liaison Officer, you will be responding to reported parking enforcement issues and understand how these can impact residents, businesses and road users. You will take a pro-active and flexible approach, working collaboratively with others to find practical solutions to problems.
Working in the Parking Enforcement Team and liaising with our Parking Enforcement Contractor you will carry out a range of duties including dealing with enquiries and the general administration of parking enforcement on the Surrey Road Network. You will work closely with teams across the council to ensure we offer an efficient and joined up service. The role does not specifically involve dealing with Penalty Charge Notice processing, although experience in this area would be beneficial.
About You
Although an advantage, previous experience of parking administration is not essential, however we are looking for IT savvy candidates with excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a friendly approach and the ability to deal sensitively and professionally with a wide range of people.
To be considered for interview your application should demonstrate:
- The ability of being well organised
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of databases, MS Teams, MS Word and MS Excel and internet applications
- Flexibility to work as part of a team whilst being proactive and using your initiative
- A strong customer focus and an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Experience of working within a busy environment
