Job Description

We are looking for an Software Tester to join our growing team who has excellent experience in software testing in particular web applications and mobile apps.

As the Software Tester you will work closely with our project manager and developers to test projects and ensure the quality of our products.

Our core business works on delivering mobile apps for our clients, along with working on our own products.

The role will require you to work from our Leicester office.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with Project Managers and other developers to test products.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximise testing efficiency.
  • Research ways to automate common tasks to ensure time is being spent productively
  • Work with the development team to test functionality during sprints.
  • Create, maintain and execute test plans.
  • Define, write and implement test cases from acceptance criteria.
  • Help the team to improve test process and automation in an agile environment.
  • Be a trusted authority in your team within QA and Automation matters
  • Implement a full range of test cases for both device firmware and web software
  • Develop scripts and test tools
  • Work with other teams to identify risks, limitations and roadblocks
  • Use bug reporting and task management systems
  • Design and execute test scenarios which demonstrate the behaviour of our products when tested and the expected results
  • Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained on all products through to software release
  • To raise and monitor system related defects and ensure they are fixed and re-tested in a timely manner

  • Strong background in QA and Agile QA techniques
  • Always looking to improve processes and learning within software testing

About You

  • Ideally 2-3 years in a similar role
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve deadlines and work independently
  • Problem solving with a desire to continue to develop technology skills
  • Good communication skills and team working capability
  • Positive and logical approach together with a willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality
