Role:
The role will require the engineer to analyse events, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the system, communicate with site technicians or third-party engineers and track issues through resolution. This role involves dealing with Network Operations BAU tasks and tickets.
Key Experience:
Junior NOC engineer should have a working experience on LAN & WAN Issues. Engineer should also be familiar with the escalation process from internal stakeholders to Network Operations Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform active and reactive network monitoring
- Work as 1st escalation for the customer care, installation, and field engineers
- Carrying out initial diagnosis on faults and escalating issues into 1st line support as required
- Work closely with NOC/Network engineers on incident management
- Providing regular updates to internal stakeholders on the progress of faults/incidents
- Prioritizing faults to meet SLA’s
- Facilities investigations and fault fix
Core Skills
- Understanding of Network Management Systems and functions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize faults and workload
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Multitasking ability to complete BAU tasks within SLA
- Highly competent in all MS Office systems and IT platforms
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications:
- JNCIA, CCNA or equivalent qualification
- ITIL Qualification (desirable)
- Experience of XGS-PON (desirable)
