Lead Product Designer

A Global Security company has an opening for a Lead Product Designer within the team.

This role is a blend of line management for a small team of designers, working closely with the other leaders in corresponding departments like Product, Engineering and CX creating the strategy and some hands-on design work.

This company is at the introductory stages of rebuilding a large web application for their customers to manage their products. This is something you will be heavily involved with, working alongside the developers and engineers taking on some complex and challenging design projects.

You will oversee the overall Product design strategy; it will need to align with the other teams’ ideas and the goals of the business as a whole. You will be involved in the tool selection, workflow design and the team management.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Experience as a Design Leader, whether that be as a Lead Product Designer, Head of Design, UX Lead etc.
• In-depth Figma skills.
• Varied design skillset that includes deep experience in at least one discipline.
• Experience working with React/Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience where you have had to design simple solutions to complex technical problems.
• Great communication skills.
• Experience managing and growing a design team.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• A champion for Agile ways of working.
