Position Overview & Specifications

Data Scientist - Consultancy
London or Manchester
Salary range c£80,000 plus bonuses and benefits

Leading consultancy, with office hubs in both London and Manchester is seeking additional Data Scientists to join their consulting team.

Joining a team of Data Scientists working on client engagements, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills rapidly working on a broad range of projects for their customers. The customer base is broad. It could be the project is for the company that puts your breakfast cereal on your table, to a widget manufacturer you’ve never heard of, but it turns out those very widgets are in your car. The insights you can help produce will make all the difference to that customer.

You will be involved in deciding both what, and how, things can be done. You will work closely with client stakeholders at the start of a project to define what they need (rather than want). You will be involved in onboarding their data, data cleansing as well as the analysis and insight phases.

For this role, it is expected that you will have experience in the following areas

  • Strong coding skills in any of SQL, Python, R, or similar
  • Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or similar
  • Data transformation tool such as Alteryx
  • Working with extremely large datasets or financial data

You will play an important part of the team working with key customers. If you want the opportunity to work with a variety of often huge datasets, then this could be a good career move for you.
