Position Overview & Specifications
Providing low to medium-level support and personal care needs to clients, you will be working for a Leading care home providing low to medium-level needs and personal care.
This position is key to supporting us to deliver a high-quality service to our customers, enabling them to live life to the full while delivering personal care and support.
Main Duties:
- To promote customers’ dignity, choice, rights and independence
- Listen to customers to ensure you are meeting their needs and assisting them in their daily lives and personal care.
- Build professional relationships to build trust and respect. Report anything you think is unsafe in relation to your work or to a customer.
- Actively be involved in health and safety inspections. Report and record any bad practices to a line manager/senior member.
- Assist customers with their physical and social needs, ensuring all emotional and physical needs are met.
- Provide medication and assist in cleaning customers' homes. Assist customers with things such as shopping, cooking, preparing food and personal care such as washing, bathing, toilet and dressing.
- Ensure customers receive appropriate care/ support plans and keep good quality and accurate records to show where you have been working and what you have been doing.
It is Essential:
- Ability to provide personal care for older people, including assisting people to wash, dress and attend to all personal needs
- Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace and in the home.
- Good spoken English
- Diploma in Health and Social Care (if not already, or equivalent NVQ)
- At least 6 months experience as a care or support worker

Part-time hours: 20-36 per week

- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday

- 10 hour shift

- Overnight shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Hamble, Hampshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
