Job Title: Public Affairs and Community Adviser (6mth Temporary Position through Randstad)

Location: Port Talbot, SA13 2NG (Hybrid Working available)

Salary: £18,100 (Pro-Rata)

The Role

Working alongside the Community and Public Affairs team, the successful candidate will be a key factor in the external engagement and community relations for Tata Steel UK’s sites across England and Wales.

You will support all external engagement activity such as community events, political engagement and the wider charitable work of Tata Steel UK.

You will work with community partners to maximise the benefits for Tata Steel UK, its employees and community stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the community budget and procurement.

You will be able to develop hands-on commercial experience in a complex and large-scale professional setting with an opportunity to work on real life projects and take on personal responsibility for delivering high quality outcomes.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree within Politics, Communication, Social Studies, Public Affairs, Public Relations or similar business or media areas.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly analyse, assimilate and present information will also be required.
