Salary range for this position is between £43,000 - £54,600

The Role

Please note at Tesco Bank this role is formally known as Central Supplier Control Assessor.

In this role you assess supplier risk and controls, identify issues, and recommend remediation, working extensively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to do this. You will use our Procurement & Supplier Management Framework and the supplier standards and guidelines set by our SME’s, to protect Tesco Bank customers, brand, and asset.

You will work flexibly as part of a team, using your financial services experience to advise business stakeholders on the management of third-party risk to help keen Tesco Bank and our customers safe.

What you will bring

In the role you are responsible for:

  • Act as a business partner to important internal customers and manage relationships with them, while taking guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Keep track of risk parameters, identifying any more deviations and reporting them to more senior colleagues. Involves working within established risk management systems.
  • Use data from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business.
  • Advise managers how to apply a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.
  • Analyse specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
  • Help management to implement quality assurance change initiatives and/or make continuous operational improvements.
  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concern and reacting to these by arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
  • Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
  • Prioritise own workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

Skills and experience required:

  • Works with guidance to review and create relevant, lucid and effective reports.
  • Use clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
  • Provide technical guidance when required on analysing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
  • Works with guidance to plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Identifies, assesses, prioritizes, and manages risks with guidance.
  • Work to explore the depth and breadth of a problem, draw out the implications of not changing, and help clients self-discover and articulate the value of a solution.
  • Provide technical guidance when required on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
  • Provide technical guidance when required on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance when required on interpreting and applying knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies in area of expertise. #LI-KP1
