The Business

Situated in the heart of the English Lake District in a unique and idyllic location on the shores of Coniston Water, we are a well-established and successful, family-run café business at a very popular tourist destination.

Open daily throughout the year, offering an extensive café menu all prepared and cooked on the premises using the best fresh produce.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a number of new team members ........

FoH general assistant duties to include: FoH preparation for the day, customer service, use of EPOS till system, cash handling, preparation of hot and cold drinks, clearing tables, some processing dirty and clean pots, serving ice creams, all general duties at close of business. Comprehensive in house training will be given for all roles.

Would suit couples wanting to work together as we have double rooms available.

The Person

We are now looking to recruit new members of staff to join our team with permanent and seasonal positions available. Energetic and enthusiastic staff for all general duties– ‘hands on’ positions for all areas of café work, previous relevant experience is desirable.

You must be well presented with the highest professional standards, have common sense and attention to detail, sharing our passion and commitment to deliver the very best customer service as well the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Applicants must be legally able to work in the UK with NI numbers and bank accounts and speak English fluently.

Full clean UK driving licence is preferable but not essential.

The Offer

Excellent accommodation available, close to work. Our houses are fully furnished and equipped to a very high standard including full kitchen, living room, Freeview TV in all bedrooms, broadband and weekly cleaning. Most rooms have a private bathroom/shower room.

We have accommodation for singles and couples both wanting work.

Accommodation charged at £75 per person per week including all bills, WI-FI and cleaner.

Average 40 hour week over 5 days. Day trade. No late evenings.

Membership to local gym FOC.

Rate of pay £10.75 per hour plus holiday pay.

To start mid/end March.

Free parking on site for those who live out and drive in.
