Coffee Shop Manager

Manager, The Bridge Coffee Shop, 17 Pulteney Bridge, Bath

Seeking a new manager to run this small but busy coffee shop.

We are an independent coffee shop in central Bath specialising in great coffee, an excellent bakery menu and friendly service. We also have the benefit of amazing views! This is a small shop and team so there is lots of potential to learn new skills, join a family business and work in a lovely shop!

The role consists of : greeting and serving customers, making coffees and drinks, preparing and plating up food such as cakes, baguettes and pasties, some cooking including full english breakfast and soups, tidying and cleaning as well as management duties such as; managing a small team, making sure the shop is fully staffed at all times, organising invoices and paperwork, training new team members and ensure standards of service, food quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times. Being able and willing to take responsibility and pride for the shop is essential. On the job training will be given for all duties.

The successful applicant must be available any day of the week to work between 40-57 hours weekly with generally 2 days off per week.

Experience in either hospitality management as a supervisor or manager is preferred but we will consider someone with management experience within a different sector - really it is all about the person! A positive and hard working attitude is a must! May suit someone with kitchen experience as a proportion of your time will be spent in the kitchen preparing food.

The hourly rate is £12.20 p/h.
