Position Overview & Specifications
The role
The junior buyer will report to the Procurement Manager and will work to provide analytical solutions and procurement services for both existing stakeholder project activity and new business opportunities. The role will touch the full scope of the business, regardless of geography, and as required will deliver successful end-to-end solution design and project delivery of stakeholder and procurement activity.
Key Accountabilities
- Monthly management of pricing/savings models, savings forecasting
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders for general purchasing items.
- Understand in detail the range of technologies employed within Delta Group
- Undertake data collection from Optimus, Workstream, Finance and suppliers to analyse and present the procurement profile of this activity.
- Assist in the completion of any day to day purchasing.
- Liaise with different Delta Group departments across the group to support the delivery of solutions and projects, including collation of different costing information, technical documentation and projected delivery timescales.
- Provide reports to support the measurement and success of our group procurement activity.
- Develop excellent working relationships with suppliers to the Delta Group.

Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time within strict deadlines.
- Strong command of Excel will be crucial given the nature of the responsibilities and PowerPoint is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills will be essential as you liaise and work closely with all levels Delta Group and as such you must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage complex financial matters while communicating your findings to non-finance employees in an articulate and clear manner.
- Proactive individual, with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
- Industry experience an advantage, but not essential
- Proven track record of delivering objectives to time, cost and quality.
- Demonstrable experience of simultaneously managing multiple complex activities
- Demonstrable ability to interact with Delta Group and supplier personnel at multiple levels, including senior management.
