Cleaner (Gym) 15-Hours Part Time

We are looking to add a hardworking and reliable part time Cleaner to join the Burnden Park Fitness Academy team.

Burnden Park Fitness Academy Gym is a hybrid fitness club, offering its members a large gym floor; multiple group fitness studios; functional training area; swimming pool; plus steam room and sauna.

The successful candidate:

· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills be able to effectively interact with members and colleagues.

· Must be able to work with initiative and deal with potential issues before they arise, as well as following a robust cleaning schedule to ensure high standards.

· Must demonstrate the pride and desire to deliver the highest cleaning and hygiene standards across the gym; studio; pool area and changing rooms.

· Would ideally have a personal interest in health and fitness.

· Would ideally have experience of working in a similar environment.

· Must be flexible – able to work any operational shift as the business requires.

· Must be flexible – to take on additional shifts to help cover annual leave and absence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· To clean to a high standard across all areas of the club.

· To follow strict health and safety routines to prevent accidents and incidents.

· To complete health and safety compliance checks to demonstrate due diligence.

· To demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills, to maintain high standards for our members.

· To complete daily housekeeping routines, including: deep cleaning changing rooms; sinks and toilets; shower walls and floor; poolside area including steam room and sauna.

· To follow a daily cleaning schedule for the gym floor and studios, including the cleaning of equipment; floors and walls; and mirrors.

· To perform routine health and safety checks around the pool area, reporting any issues to the Duty Manager.

· To carry out routine pool area checks, ensuring that all facilities remain safe and operational.

· To support Reception colleagues with general customer service tasks as required.

· To complete general cleaning and housekeeping tasks, as requested by the Duty Manager.

The details:

· £10.92 per hour.

· Minimum 20-hour contract.

· Occasional overtime available.

· 4-weeks annual leave.

· Club will operate on bank holidays (exc. Christmas).

Shift pattern:

Wednesday - 5:00pm – 10:30pm
Saturday - 10:45am - 16:15pm
Sunday - 10:45am - 16:15pm

All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break.
