Designer / CAD Technician

Due to an exciting new venture in an already successful business model, we are looking for at least one new designer to join our established team. Reporting to the Design Manager and working in a small, experienced team, you will be developing garden landscaping designs from initial concept through to client sign-off.

Please note - the role is based at our Leicester office and you will need to be able to attend Monday - Friday.

About the role

As well as creating amazing 2D and 3D domestic garden designs using SketchUp, this role has project responsibilities of providing an accurate quote for the customer and quantifying materials. You will also source and order some specific materials to make sure the build gets off to the best start.

You will be involved with the client from the initial brief to design sign-off, making their initial hopes and dreams for their garden become reality.

About you

You may be freelancing and are after the security of permanent employment and the perks that come with that. Or you may be doing a similar role and are ready for the next challenge.

You will need to be confident using CAD software; SketchUp ideally.

A head for figures will be needed for finalising quotes and producing figures needed for the build e.g. cost and quantities of materials, labour hours.

As well as having a creative mind, the ability to juggle different tasks and manage a number of designs at different stages is also important.

A background in construction drawing would be beneficial. An interest in gardens and landscaping is useful but not essential.

Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
