The Merchant Hotel is a sumptuous 5* hotel situated in Belfast City Centre. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Front Waiter to join our team in The Great Room Restaurant.

Rate of pay is £10.42 per hour plus excellent service charge

A full time member of staff could expect to earn on average an additional £100 -£150 per week through service charge paid weekly through payroll.

The Great Room Restaurant is the jewel in the crown of the hotel. A sumptuous space evoking effortless and timeless grandeur, situated in the former main Banking Hall of the building. A more fitting setting for the gastronomic delights prepared daily for discerning guests could not be imagined. The hotel Restaurant is open daily for Breakfast, Lunch, Traditional Afternoon Tea and sumptuous à la Carte Dining.

The essential criteria for this position is:

• Two years customer care experience
• cash handling experience
• excellent customer service experience

The desirable criteria for this position is:

• Experience working within a five star setting
• Experience within a fine dining restaurant

The ideal candidate will be able to display excellent customer care skills, the ability to anticipate guest needs and offer the genuine warmth of the “Merchant Welcome”.
