About The Newt in Somerset
The Newt in Somerset is a truly unique destination with two distinct sides.
It is a country estate with ancient woodland, historic gardens with far-reaching views, a luxury hotel, spa, and restaurants. The Newt in Somerset is also a fine quality food & drinks brand, running a large farm land that produces a vibrant abundance of homegrown produce in a traditional, clean and sustainable way. This includes both fresh vegetable and fruit harvest, 365 days a-year, milk and dairy production, sheep and beef pastures with our own butchery, artisan bakery, mature apple orchards and state-of-the-art cyder cellar.
Our Hygiene Operatives
A hygiene operative is responsible for ensuring that a designated area or environment is kept clean, safe, and hygienic.
- Typical duties of a hygiene operative may include:
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, equipment, and facilities according to established standards and procedures.
- Maintaining cleanliness of our production facilities
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers.
- Disposing of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Following health and safety guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining records and documentation related to cleaning activities and schedules.
Hygiene Experience in a food facility would be an advantage- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good attention to detail, planning and organisation
- Ability to make independent decisions, working on own or within in a team
