Host/Hostess

The Queens Hotel, Lytham is looking for a driven, enthusiastic & passionate Host to join our team!

Rate of Pay

• £7.49 - £10.42per hour.
• FT & PT roles available
• Pay is processed every 4 weeks (on a Friday).

Rota Schedule

Shift patterns are flexible around venue opening times & demands.

Shift start/finish times will mostly centre around food service hours.

• Experience of working within a fast-paced food business.
• Be an engaging, friendly and highly organised person with great customer service skills.
• Highly organised.
• Experience with using a booking system.
• Keen eye for maintaining high standards.
• Experience working on the floor in a food led pub or restaurant.
• Confidence with finding solutions and resilience to daily challenges.
• Passion for fresh food & premium drinks.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests to the venue.
• Engaging with every guest.
• Making / amending / cancelling reservations.
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints.
• Use of computer systems and tills.
• Showing guests through to their tables.
• Communicating booking requirements to the wider team.
• Communication with the kitchen brigade to ensure smooth running of shifts.
• Managing wait times accordingly so as not to impact the guest experience.
