The Sporting Lodge is an e-commerce business selling outdoor and lifestyle clothing, footwear and accessories direct to customers in the UK and around the world. Our portfolio of premium brands include Barbour, Patagonia, James Purdey, Beretta, Fjallraven, Filson, Ralph Lauren and many many more.

We are a friendly, hard working team based at our head office in Northwich, Cheshire. We run a number of e-commerce sites from the same location including My Fox Bag, Yards Store and Parasol Store to name a few!

The role

We are looking for an Email Marketing / Social Media Executive to join the team to work exclusively on The Sporting Lodge. You will:

- Take creative responsibility for the planning, design and execution of bi-weeky email campaigns on Mailchimp

- Create content for and programme daily posts / stories on our social media accounts.

- Be responsible for sourcing the latest campaign images direct from our brand suppliers, ensuring that all imagery on our website is up to date and relevant.

- Design campaigns and update our website home page as required, to tie in with the latest promotional activity on email and social media

- Work closely with our buyers to keep updated on product intake and performance, to identify potential email campaigns and marketing opportunities.

- Monitor and report on email performance in order to identify what works and where improvements can be made

Who we're looking for:

We are looking for an individual who is organised, creative and analytical. You will ideally have an interest the branded outdoor clothing market and be familiar with some of the brands that we sell. If you had an interest in country life / walking / game shooting / fishing - even better! Although we can teach you what you need to know here, we are looking for an individual who enjoys country life and understands our target market and their lifestyle, and can create campaigns that are on brand and will appeal to this market.

Essential:

- At least 1 year's experience in marketing / social media, either in industry or in higher education

- Strong organisational skills; confident approach to developing ideas and a good communicator.

- A true understanding of the mechanics of social media and increasing followers and improving engagement through the creation of unique content.

- Photoshop or InDesign - you will need to be very proficient in creating designs from scratch as you'll be designing and executing all your own content for email, social and website.

- Creative - you will love thinking of ways to promote our brands, categories and events in the outdoor calendar.

- Tasteful! We're working with some really premium brands (some of which have a Royal Warrant!) and all campaigns need to be on brand, in keeping with the ethos of The Sporting Lodge and its suppliers.

- A positive and proactive attitude

- A willingness to learn and to adapt to last minute changes and feedback

Desireable

- An interest in the great outdoors / country life

- An awareness of some of the key outdoor brands that we sell

- Experience in buiding Mailchimp email campaigns (training can be given)

- Experience working on the back end of websites (we use Woo Commerce and Shopify)

- An intuitive grasp of our target market and their lifestyle

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £23,000.00 per year
