Position Overview & Specifications

An amazing opportunity for an experienced portrait Photographer has opened at our established Middlesbrough based photography studio. You will be required to photograph families, children and babies of all ages, starting from newborn babies through to toddlers, children and adults. Experience in photo editing and retouching using Adobe Photoshop along with experience in additional adobe packages such as Lightroom is desired.

We are seeking a enthusiastic, friendly and warm individual with the ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual with the right skills and qualities to flourish in a workplace where you can allow your creative to bloom! Our friendly and relaxed studio is an amazing place to work and you would be working along side our creative team to produce amazing photographs for our customers.
Some photo shoot days can be fast-paced, so we only shoot studio bookings to a structured diary each week.

Skills and experience required...

  • Good knowledge of DSLR camera settings.
  • Experience and knowledge using studio lighting.
  • An understanding of how to capture personality within each subject by interacting with them, as well subject posing and creating amazing compositions.
  • Great communication skills is essential, customer service experience and telephone manner.
  • Experience in editing software such as Adobe packages is desirable
  • A friendly, enthusiastic approach to people, especially children is essential.
  • A creative, positive and enthusiastic attitude towards photography in general.

Personal qualities preferred...

  • Previous experience in a job role working with families and children is desirable.
  • A noticeable passion for photography is a must.
  • Hands on confidence with small babies and newborn babies is desirable.
  • Creative flare with the confidence to showcase it!
  • Work great as part of a team.
  • Can work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and great cognitive ability.

Please note - this position is for 1 to 2 days a week to start with after ability has been proven during a trial period at our studio in Middlesbrough. Flexibility on working hours would be great in case we need cover last minute. But generally working hours are planned a month in advance.
We plan on generating more business very soon to open more days for shoots at the studio, this will allow more hours for the ideal candidate in the near future.
Selected candidates would be required to work trial period of one or two days in our studio for our staff to recognise essential qualities and skills.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

Salary: £11.00-£20.00 per hour
