Job Description:
The candidate is expected to design, create, develop and maintain websites as a Web Designer. The candidate is also expected to demonstrate various designs before the internal team so they can choose their desired customized design.
We have a portfolio of 5 existing websites which need to maintained and updated on regular basis. Also required to link our URL's with the search engine and live feeding datas on regular basis.
Entry Requirements of this Job:
The candidate is expected to have a degree or equivalent qualification; however, there is no minimum academic requirement. Significant relevant experience will be preferred. Candidates with a foundation course, BTEC/SQA or GCSES/S grades, equivalent qualifications, or significant relevant experience will be preferred.
Tasks required by this job include:
· Demonstrating various web designs or themes to the immediate line manager to decide on customized web design.
· Apply graphics, animation and functional techniques to maximize visual effectiveness and facilitate appropriate access.
· To alter/ amend the website in line with the instruction of the line manager.
· To develop the website and applications from time to time.
· To write and publish content for the website.
· Testing the website interaction and performance before going live and monitoring and maintaining the website's functionality.
· To activate the live website.
· Liaises with the internal team to define the requirements for the website.
· To ensure the appropriate website security and recovery of the data.
· To design and develop web interfaces from time to time per the manager's instructions.
· To do all necessary and appropriate action to ensure the smooth running of the webpage.
