Job Summary

Your working hours are primarily Monday to Friday 06.00am to 14.00pm.

Manage the day to day organisation and delivery of planned production in assigned areas. To be responsible for the execution of all production plans ensuring we deliver high quality products and services to the customer on time whilst operating a safe working environment for all employees.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

  • To create and maintain a safety culture
  • To understand line performance at a cellular level, in real time and to support with the deployment of the flow of information process.
  • To support standardisation of measurement systems and methodologies.
  • To deliver on planned targets for the lines.
  • To ensure all lines are efficiently running as per plan.
  • To manage manning through time management system – hours attended/holidays/sickness etc.
  • To manage and improve 5’s of the lines.
  • To create/Improve on standard work documentation for assigned area
  • To ensure efficient working practise through run rates analysis and standard work confirmation.
  • To problem solve and apply continuous improvement in all areas.
  • To facilitate 1:1’s
  • To facilitate all training of staff.
  • To backfill lines/Cells where necessary.
  • To act as a coach to all stakeholders within assigned areas and the wider business.
  • To act as a role model within the business, ensuring behaviours conducive with being a role model are exhibited.

General Duties / Responsibilities

  • To conduct appraisals with all direct reports as per the Company’s Appraisal Scheme
  • To carry out / provide support with disciplinary, performance and attendance procedures as required / appropriate with the Support of HR
  • Any other duties which may reasonably be required by the post holders Line Manager or Director

Essential Requirements

  • Communication and coaching skills
  • Proactive and able to champion with minimum supervision
  • Adaptable and willing to be flexible within the role.
  • Be tenacious in your approach in executing objectives
  • This role requires a ‘hands-on’ approach and as such requires someone who is prepared to ‘learn by doing’

  • Automotive Manufacturing or FMCG: 1 year (preferred)
  • Manufacturing: 3 years (preferred)
  • Production: 3 years (preferred)
