Position Overview & Specifications

What you’ll be doing

  • You will log, prioritise, and action 2nd Line support tickets via a helpdesk ticket system, face-to-face on client site, and over the phone
  • Work with our AEC customers in an empathetic manner to understand and resolve issues
  • You will be involved in project work for our contracted clients such as software deployments and hardware upgrades
  • Working closely with other engineers to progress complex tickets effectively, ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
  • Undertaking system monitoring tasks and checks for our client base
  • Continually looking for ways to improve personal performance

Essential Technical Skills

  • Experience in the IT Services industry at 2nd line level
  • Windows OS support and AD admin experience
  • A good understanding of IT security fundamentals
  • Server administration, virtual/physical
  • 365 services, configuration and administration.
  • AD/Azure AD administration
  • A working understanding of IP networks, VoIP/SIP (3CX) and VC
  • VPN administration and support
  • Experience working with ticket systems and RMM tools

Highly desirable skills

  • Delivery to AEC clients
  • IT support in environments running CAD/Visualisation/BIM workflows
  • Experience of imaging, deployment, and encryption

Attributes required for the role

  • Fluent English language communication skills to allow you to provide effective telephone and onsite face to face support. English writing ability for clear and accurate ticket logging and updates
  • Proven technical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Consistent punctuality and timekeeping
  • High attention to detail with the ability to follow procedure
  • Flexibility, accountability adaptability
  • A proactive approach to service delivery
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on individual tasks
  • Capacity to work effectively in multiple client environments

Salary & Benefits

  • £28,000 - £32000 per annum DOE, with a 3-month probationary period. We help you settle into your role, getting to know our team & mix of clients
