Your role

Are you passionate about designing and building innovative analytics applications using the latest technology? We are looking for a Data Engineer & Analytics Developer like you to:

  • prototype and develop innovative data analytics platform tools and solutions for Monitoring, Surveillance & Control (MS&C) using data from our surveillance systems
  • collaborate with other architects (solution / domain / business) to enable the development of our multi-tenant enterprise platforms
  • perform application development for database core components
  • provide the full application development life cycle service for MS&C, including specifications, prototypes, development, support, quality assurance and deployment
  • present findings to key stakeholders and work with our IT teams to bring solutions into production
  • work with SMEs across our Group Compliance and Regulatory Governance (GCRG) organization to analyze problems and propose technical solutions

Your team

You'll be working in our Monitoring, Surveillance and Controls (MS&C) Automation and Platforms team in London, which is part of our wider Group Compliance and Regulatory Governance COO function.

We are a positive-minded team of Data analysts, Automation Engineers, Data Scientists and Business Analysts who are responsible for the design and delivery of new surveillance tools, analytics platforms, automation and robots for our client-related business conduct compliance functions and associated teams.

Your expertise

  • ideally a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related numerical field
  • at least 3 years' minimum experience of hands-on technical development experience with analytics web app solutions
  • proven engineering skills in system and component development, as well as data structures
  • proven track record of agile software delivery practices and technical leadership
  • strong understanding of Agile Methodologies and SDLC
  • exposure to designing, developing, implementing and supporting enterprise-level solutions
  • practical exposure to data analytics programming languages such as Python, R, SQL or postgressSQL
  • strong understanding of web technologies (i.e. HTML, XPath, JavaScript, CSS selectors) and code versioning or associated agile tools (e.g. GitHub,JIRA, GitLab)
  • comfortable dealing with ambiguity and demanding global stakeholders
  • iterative approach to delivery (you are always looking to improve and innovate solutions)
