Our Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Apprenticeship is designed to enhance individual learning and growth through a mix of study and on the job learning.

You’ll be mentored and guided by the Safety & Sustainability team, who will empower you to grow and develop. Working independently, you’ll learn how to excel in high pressured environments. And, as we’re big believers in agile and flexible working and promoters of a diverse and inclusive culture, we’ll encourage you to bring your whole self to work every day.

Overview

Your starting salary will be competitive, and the scheme duration is 3 years. Our Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Apprentice will be based in York and Manchester.

What you’ll be doing

You will have the opportunity to undertake planned rotations across different areas within the safety and sustainability team, giving you the opportunity to widen your skillset and excel in this field. Alongside this you will attend part-time education to achieve the knowledge, behaviours and competencies as required by the apprenticeship standard, as well as, undertaking internal training throughout to upskill yourself in the relevant skills and competencies required for Network Rail.

This apprenticeship scheme in combination with on the job learning at Network Rail will provide you with sound and varied knowledge of corporate responsibility, safety, and sustainability practice. Achieving the Level 4 qualification will enable you to use your breadth and depth of experience to position yourself as a fully effective skilled professional with transferable skills and career options.

Entry requirements

Typically an apprentice is expected to have worked in a procurement role for 12 month and have achieved Maths and English at Level 2 prior to starting the apprenticeship
