To help achieve this ambitious goal Unilever has partnered with the University of Liverpool in the Materials Innovation Factory. Here Unilever scientists have access to leading edge automation, robotics and instruments to build, test and refine new products.

The Homecare MIF Hub Team is based in the MIF and works with global Unilever teams to design and carryout work to help launch new, more sustainable products, to support product claims and to develop new technologies.

JOB PURPOSE

You will be delivering ‘end-to-end’ experiments with partner Homecare teams from around the world by: co-designing what needs to be done, carrying out the work using your scientific expertise and the unique capabilities in the MIF and then analysing and reporting your recommendations to the team. Your work will link directly to activities on new innovations, cost savings and improved product performance for global brands like Domestos, Persil, Cif and Comfort.

We are looking for people with the right skills, mindset and competencies to deliver ‘end to end’ experiments for external teams. A good knowledge of Fast Moving Consumer Goods product formulation, testing and measurement would also advantageous. Expertise in laboratory automation, instrumentation and data handling would be a distinct advantage.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What can I do?
