Position Overview & Specifications

UNIQLO is delighted to launch the recruitment of the tailoring specialist in our flagship store on Regent Street, which opened in Spring 2022.
Situated in one of the world’s prestigious fashion and lifestyle destinations, we deliver to our customers exclusive repair services as part of our sustainability activity. We are assembling a team of high-quality casual clothing enthusiasts with experience of tailoring or customising clothes to join our growing team!
We offer a unique shopping destination that continues to offer memorable experiences to our customers and brings goodness to our community thanks to the collective efforts of our store team.
Key responsibilities:
  • Welcome every customer with a friendly smile
  • Provide exceptional service on all occasions
  • Advise customers across all product categories
  • Performing high quality alterations of trousers, skirts and sleeves and the fixing or replacing of zippers
  • Upcycling (such as Sashiko and, downing etc.)
  • Clearly understanding alteration or repair requirements with customers to ensure that their
requirements are met
  • Understand and follow policies and procedures to ensure a smooth operation and minimise loss
  • Collaborate enthusiastically with all team members and offer to support them when needed
to form a united high performing team
  • Relay the voice of customers about products and services to company management to
continue to make our business relevant for the customers of today and tomorrow
  • Keep back of house areas organised and tidy
  • Participate in all activities contributing to the overall store experience and objectives
Essential skills and behaviours:
  • Have experience as a seamstress/machinist: 1+ year in sewing and finishing
  • A bias for teamworking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Perfect time management skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes quickly
  • Personable and service focused
  • A professional, positive approach at all times
  • A drive to achieve results individually and as a team
  • An enthusiasm for UNIQLO brand values and products
  • Keen to build a career in retail
  • Previous retail experience is a bonus, but not essential
Logistic information:
  • Contract: Permanent – 30h or 37.5h per week
  • Shift pattern: Store working hours are organised in shifts. Morning shift starts at 09:30 and evening shift finishes at 21:00
  • Work Pattern: Monday to Sunday working pattern is adopted and flexibility is required
  • Start date: Immediate start
