Position Overview & Specifications
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a small screening team but also with the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will be given training and support within your new role by the screening coordinate and screening midwives. Experience working within maternity is desirable for not essential.
Candidates should have excellent IT skills and have proficient numeracy skills to assist the screening coordinator with collating of data for key performance indicators.
The failsafe officer participates in the running of the specialist administration of antenatal & Newborn Screening Services in accordance with Department, Trust and National Standards.
The failsafe officer will support the day to day management of the screening programme, data quality assurance of the screening process by ensuring that robust failsafe systems are maintained to support the team and wider maternity service safely care for our patients
You will support the team by collating data necessary for submission of the key performance indicators (KPIs) to the national screening committee
