Position Overview & Specifications
The role as indicated will be split between supporting the pharmacy in receipt and safe storage or medicines on some days and on others functioning as the porter for bulk iv fluids to the wards. The service operate between 08:00 and 18:30 with shifts split between various start and finish times.
Demonstrable experience working in a goods-inwards / stock control situation would be a distinct advantage.
Applicants would need to be physically fit as the post involves moving, lifting and delivery of IV fluids.

To work within a small team receiving medicinal goods into the pharmacy and providing a delivery and collection service of bulk iv fluids round the Derriford Hospital site.
To offload (and load) delivery vehicles using the departmental forklift, and to move goods around the site using the forklift as required. (Training will be provided)
Assist the pharmacy procurement team with the entry and invoicing of goods on to the pharmacy inventory system.
