Visitor Services Assistant (Part Time)

We are looking to recruit a Visitor Services Assistant to join the Visitor Services Team of the Botanic Garden. Working pattern to include at least one Saturday or Sunday per week plus three variable days and all Bank Holidays.

Responsible to the Head of Visitor Services, the Visitor Services Assistant team provide excellent front of house service. They welcome visitors, staff the ticket offices, sell publications and membership, patrol the Garden to ensure the safety and security of its collections, buildings and visitors, ensure public areas are clean and fully stocked, and assist in setting up rooms for events and activities. Includes working outside and undertaking practical tasks in a wide variety of weather conditions.

The candidate should be educated to at least GCSE level standard or equivalent and be committed to providing first-class visitor service. Previous experience of cash-handling and cash tills is required and the ability to deal with people at all levels.
