Position Overview & Specifications

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to join the Strategic Change Department¿s Communications and Engagement Team. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, your role will be to raise awareness of strategic change initiatives taking place at the University of the Liverpool.

You will need to be a confident and adaptable communicator (both in person and in writing), with excellent editorial, copywriting, and proof-reading skills, plus a proven ability in adapting your communications and complex information for different audiences, and different media (both print and digital).

Using your excellent interpersonal skills, you will support the establishment of networks and contacts with a broad range of stakeholders, within professional services and academic roles at all levels as well as with students and external contacts where applicable.

Working collaboratively with project and programme teams and other colleagues, you will devise and deliver communications and engagement plans, writing engaging and informative e-newsletters, blogs, web content, presentations, scripts, and email updates as well as supporting event management and the delivery of promotional activities (both online and on-campus).

You should be enthusiastic, organised, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a proven record of delivering high quality communications within a fast-paced environment.

A degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience) is essential.
