Position Overview & Specifications

This is an opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated HR professional to join our friendly team as a member of the Humanities Division HR Shared service.
Working closely with other members of the team, you will provide first class HR advice and administration for all academic appointments within Humanities. You will be responsible for managing administrative processes and record-keeping, and providing expert HR advice to academic and professional services colleagues, in support of the full life cycle of academic appointments in the division. This is a varied and busy role covering a wide range of procedures around the recruitment, retention and development of academic staff across the Humanities faculties, as well as contributing support to other academic HR-related activities within the Divisional Office.
To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you will need to be someone who works well both independently and as part of a team, and to be comfortable when managing competing priorities. You will have great communication skills, and be confident in working with a people inside and outside the University, and conveying complex information clearly and effectively, and have a high standard of organisation and accuracy. This is a challenging role that requires diplomacy, discretion, strong organisational skills and personal initiative.
