Position Overview & Specifications

The Faculty of Theology and Religion is seeking to appoint a Departmental Lecturer in Historical and Systematic Theology to cover primarily the teaching duties of Prof Zachhuber while he is on research leave. This is a full-time, 8-month fixed-term post from 1 September 2023.
About the role
This position offers a highly promising scholar the opportunity to develop their career through teaching, research and collaborative work in historical and systematic Theology and associated fields. The duties and skills required are described in more detail in the further particulars.
If, for any reason, you have taken a career break or have had an atypical career and wish to disclose this in your application, the selection committee will take this into account. The selection committee will also be mindful of the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic may have had on candidates’ careers as a result of additional caring responsibilities or other factors.
Application process
Informal enquiries about the post can be directed to Professor Johannes Zachhuber on johannes.zachhuber@trinity.ox.ac.uk.
Applications are to be submitted online via www.recruit.ox.ac.uk and Vacancy ID 165068. You will be required to upload a CV and a supporting statement.
