Position Overview & Specifications

Are you a proactive, experienced academic administrative professional looking to step up to a more senior position? We are seeking two Graduate Studies Officer’s to join our student administration team at the Department of Engineering Science. Based in central Oxford you will work in a stimulating and rewarding environment.
Under the guidance of the Graduate Studies Administrator, you will ensure that the graduate administration function operates efficiently. You will assist with managing the process of recruitment and admissions for postgraduate students, and ensure that students on course receive a high quality service throughout their studies. You will also provide direct support to postgraduate related committees. The ability to cope with a busy and varied workload in a team based environment, and changing priorities are key skills in this role.
Educated to at least A level standard, you will have experience of managing administrative processes, ideally in a higher education environment. A proven ability to work independently using your own initiative, and to prioritise competing demands is essential to success in this role. Strong team working and communication skills are essential, as is an adaptable and flexible approach.
