Position Overview & Specifications

The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking a Study Administrator to join a multi-university research team lead by Prof Jane Barlow, evaluating the implementation and impact of the Start for Life programmes, working with University College London, The Anna Freud Centre, and Ecorys.
You will work closely with workstream leads, implementers and policy-makers to lead all aspects of the research management, implementation, and reporting. The role will also involve providing oversight of data collection processes across England and managing project administration (human resources and financial management). Although the role will be based in Oxford, it would not be necessary to live in Oxford to fulfil the job requirements.
A key member of the research team, you will have overall responsibility for co-ordinating the work being undertaken within the research consortium, in addition to liaising with and managing relations with the National Start for Life Team, and civil servants with government departments (i.e. DHSC and DfE). You would be fully involved in undertaking research in close collaboration with senior academic and operational colleagues at Oxford and partner institutions.
You will be experienced in managing large research studies, and have an interest in the evaluation of complex interventions designed to improve outcomes during the perinatal period. Able to work independently as well as part of a team you will have strong communication and organisational skills.
The position is full-time, for a fixed term of 36 months.
Further information, including how to apply, is available in the attached job description. Any further enquiries may be directed to the email address below.
Only online applications received by 12.00 noon on 26 May 2023 will be considered. Interviews will be held in June 2023.
