Position Overview & Specifications

The University of Reading is seeking an Impact Development Officer for a fixed-term role to support the delivery of the University’s Arts and Humanities Research Council Impact Acceleration Account (AHRC IAA) and the development of the impact project pipeline across the Heritage and Creativity theme.

The Impact Development Officer will:

  • Support the progress of the IAA by working closely with the Knowledge Exchange Fellows, Steering Group and Working Group to ensure delivery targets are met
  • Identify and scope Impact Development Projects (for AHRC IAA funding) – supporting and accelerating the development of both ongoing and future impact projects
  • Work with researchers to coordinate activities associated with managing AHRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) funded projects and track progress
  • Identify areas of research strength across the University within the AHRC remit that can address key challenges in society

You will have:

  • The ability to work with a diverse range of academic and professional services stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the arts and culture sector and creative industries
  • Experience of managing projects
  • The ability to develop relationships with external, non-academic partners

The role holder will work closely with the Impact Development Manager, Impact Leads, the IAA Knowledge Exchange Fellows, Research Division Leaders and individual academics within the Research Themes which align with the AHRC remit. The role holder will work directly with external non-academic partners. The role holder will also work with other teams within Research Services, the Knowledge Transfer Centre, the Library and Research Communications and Engagement team.

This post is fixed term until 31st March 2025.
