Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a talented and dynamic individual to come and join us at the University of Salford as an Assistant Social Media Manager.

Can you create, collate and communicate content to a diverse audience via social media? If so, we’d like to hear from a strategic thinker who can produce impactful content utilising appropriate digital channels to influence applicant engagement and build our student community.

In this key role, you’ll work as part of a team to produce and deliver strategic plans that align with our student recruitment objectives and help to strengthen the university profile.

You’ll be responsible for liaising with academic and professional services staff to uncover stories about the latest research, teaching and learning, helping to create content which fully represents the University of Salford experience.

Applicants must have proven experience of digital content production and knowledge of the current social media environment; you’ll also be responsible for managing our daily social media enquiries and responding to or escalating any sensitive and potentially damaging issues to help protect the reputation of the University.
