Project Manager

Permanent position, 1.0 FTE.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to contribute to a world-leading University and work with a well-established Project Management team to manage a range of projects; these will vary greatly in terms of size, scope and nature.

The Information and Digital Group (IDG) provides a range of essential digital services to support the learning and teaching, research, administrative and commercial activities of the University. We aim to be the most digitally enabled university in the UK and to be seen as a global trailblazer when it comes to digital teaching and learning. Organisational success is dependent on the suitability, adaptability and performance of digital services, as well as on modern, inventive ways of delivering excellent service to students, staff and other customers.

Working as part of a team of Project Managers alongside Analysts, Service Owners, Product Managers and customers the people in this role will enable the Strategic Change team to meet the strategic and short-term objectives of customer groups. You will deliver the required project outputs within agreed tolerances. You will plan, manage and monitor the delivery of projects and ensure that they have a sound quality management process.

The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve how the University manages projects to meet current and emerging needs and coaching University staff who are working on projects. Using established standard processes (BCS, PRINCE2, ITIL), you will work closely with our customers at all levels across the University. You will establish effective working relationships at a strategic level, influencing the customer strategy and corresponding service strategies.
