Position Overview & Specifications

Summary:

Our client is looking for an HR Executive to join their expanding and successful energy consultancy. The role will be to provide professional, comprehensive and effective HR support, and for ensuring the compliance of all legislation and guidance whilst providing a framework to enhance employee relations. The ideal candidate must have previous HR experience, educated to a degree standard or equivalent and be forward-thinking with excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • End to end administrative support plus providing HR advice to employees / line managers
  • Processing new starters, change of details and leavers on the database
  • Finding, hiring, training and supporting new employees, ensuring references are obtained
  • Reviewing, organising and enhancing current recruitment / interview processes
  • Creating / amending job descriptions and posting on job boards
  • Conduct exit interviews for all appropriate leavers and store documentation
  • Respond to incoming requests for information i.e. references, landlord / mortgage enquiries
  • Provide support to the payroll process by ensuring accurate administration on time
  • Ensuring proper processes are adhered to as defined in the staff handbook
  • Supporting / conducting investigations and producing disciplinary outcome letters

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel)
  • Experience of working within HR (essential)
  • Experience within energy/ utility within a similar role (desirable)
  • Understanding of communicating HR policies and procedures
  • Educated to a degree standard or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work to deadlines
