Position Overview & Specifications

Venn Group are currently partnered with a highly regarded global bank who are seeking experienced professionals for two roles within their Analytics and Insights Team in the newly created EMEA Data Office. The roles of Analytics Engineering Lead and Data Visualization Lead are transferable within the project and team, enabling cross-functional collaboration and flexibility. The candidates for these roles will have the necessary skills and experience in analytics engineering, data visualization, statistical techniques, and self-serve analytics tooling. The Analytics Engineering Lead will focus on developing data-driven dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau, while the Data Visualization Lead will drive the creation of impactful visualizations and ensure seamless integration with analytics solutions. These roles will play a crucial part in advancing their data capabilities and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

lead and manage a team of analytics engineers and visualization experts to deliver high-quality analytics solutions and impactful visualizations.

Collaborate with stakeholders from various business units to understand their analytics requirements and translate them into actionable insights and visualizations.

Drive the implementation of self-serve analytics tooling at an enterprise level, ensuring accessibility and usability for end-users.

Apply statistical techniques, such as forecasting, regression analysis, and probability distributions, to uncover insights and support decision-making processes.

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and issues within the Data Analytics and Data Science landscapes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Work closely with the Analytics Engineering Lead to ensure seamless integration of analytics and visualization solutions.

Utilize Power BI and/or Tableau to develop data-driven dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.

Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and ensure data quality and integrity in all analytics and visualization outputs.

Collaborate with other teams within the EMEA Data Office to support broader data initiatives and contribute to the development of a data-driven culture across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline). Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in analytics engineering, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency in using Power BI and/or Tableau to develop data-driven dashboards and visualizations.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and components, such as AWS and Azure.
  • Solid understanding of statistical techniques and hands-on experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, regression analysis, and probability distribution
