Machine Operative - Press Brake

Purpose of Role

This role is ideal for a candidate who is familiar with a manufacturing environment. A good work ethic is also ideal.

You will be operating the Bystronic Press Brake as part of the manufacturing process, ensuring high quality products are delivered on time and effectively. This role will be 2pm – 10pm, with earlier shifts necessary for training purposes.

Core Responsibilities

• Construct our product by operating the Bystronic Press Brake
• Refer to technical drawings and documents for use when folding sheet metal, to make sure the Press Break is used properly
• Inspect your work throughout the manufacturing process, and reporting shortages and defects to your Team Leader / Manager
• To assist with the rework of piece parts or final assemblies, as and when required
• Ensure tools and working area are respected, keeping spaces tidy and free from hazards
• Be a key contributor to the development of new and improved products

• Be flexible with overtime where needed to support the department
• Communicate to Team leaders / Managers to ensure workflow is on track
• Work in line with the Capacity Reservations and ensure all hours are posted correctly and on time
• To follow all other reasonable requests made by your Team Leader / Manager
